    Leaving the aircraft row by row an excellent idea. Using buses at Menorca airport when stands and airbridges available tedious process worst part of the holiday. Plenty of staff available at Menorca to ask and organise check in - great. Queueing time to bag drop at Bournmouth not so great.

Glid fram mellan befästa holmar och beundra de överdådiga villorna som kantar vattnet på båda sidor. Några av dem är från 1700-talet, då Menorca var en brittisk koloni. Därefter åker vi vidare till det gamla gindestilleriet Xoriguer för ett guidat besök. Menorcas favoritdryck har tillverkats här med samma recept sedan 1736 - ytterligare en symbol för öns brittiska arv.Du får också tid på egen hand att vandra runt i Mahon och beundra de georgianska radhusen, barockkyrkorna, de palmkantade torgen och de smala kullerstensgatorna. Gå till det centralt belägna Plaça del Carme, där det finns en marknad med försäljare som säljer allt från charkuterier till färsk frukt under korsgångarna i ett kloster från 1600-talet.
