After an early start, you’ll arrive at Giza, the location of one of Egypt’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites where you will see the Great Pyramid of Giza. With a local guide, you’ll learn all about this vast enterprise, built for the pharaoh Cheops. You will also see the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure before standing in awe beneath the Great Sphinx.
Next, after lunch, you'll head to teeming central Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum, the home to the world’s biggest collection of pharaonic artefacts. Wander spellbound through its main areas, marvelling at everything from jewellery to aeons-old mummies, sculptures and more.
