What to expect

Thai Muang National Park makes for a fascinating day trip from Khao Lak. Tear yourself away from the beach for this full day tour in the midst of nature. You'll visit a sea turtle conservation centre, discover fresh forest waterfalls and drift on bamboo river rafts. There's also free time on Had Lek Beach.

After you've taken a peek inside Thai Muang sea turtle conservation centre, we'll make our way to Lampi waterfall. Surrounded by lush green forest and featuring three tiers of cascading fresh water, it's the ideal place to cool off and take a breather. Our search for serene nature trails continues as you're taken on a bamboo raft down a rainforest river.

Lunch features Thai specialities cooked before your very own eyes. The food you'll tuck in to appeared in the Michelin star guide for seven consecutive years. After lunch, you'll head to Had Lek Beach. It's a slither of perfect white sand – an ideal spot for resting up after your lunch.

    Guide som var ganska dålig på engelska och inte visste vad denne pratade om. Tur på bambuflotte mkt bra, fint. Fotbad/massage efter lunchen som dom nog själva hittat på att göra för att kunna sälja produkter till fotvård, ganska märkligt? Framgår inte av beskrivningen.

    Päivä oli ihanan monipuolinen ja rahoille sai vastinetta. Erityismaininta oppaallemme Jamesille, joka teki päivän aikana kaikkensa, jotta viihtyisimme. Kuulimme paljon mielenkiintoisia yksityiskohtia kaikista päivän kohteistamme. Retken kuvausta tui:n apissa/sivuilla voisi parantaa - onneksi olimme pakanneet uimapuvut ja pyyhkeet, sillä emme ymmärtäneet kuvauksesta, että ne olisivat aivan välttämättömät. Myös kuvaus myös muista retkelle sopivista varusteista olisi plussaa.
