What to expect

Peek past Phuket's dreamy beaches and you'll discover another side to the island. You'll visit Wat Chalong temple, visit a cashew nut factory, soak up views of Thalong Road and Rang Hill. Kick off the tour at Wat Chalong, the island's most revered temple. The jewel in the crown of the complex is the richly decorated Grand Pagoda, which contains a bone splinter said to be from the Buddha. Next, you'll head to a nut factory to see how locally grown cashew nuts are plucked from yellow cashew apples, roasted, and peeled to become the moreish snack we know and love.

Stroll along the famous Thalong Road – look out for vibrant Chinese-Portuguese architecture and the early 20th-century mansion featured in the film, Good Morning Vietnam. After taking in the views over Phuket Town at Khao Rang Hill Viewpoint, you'll head to a pearl farm for the inside scoop into one of Phuket's most important industries. You'll wrap things up with a tasty Thai lunch, and visit a typical home where you'll see a rubber tapping demo, plus a quick lesson on how to whip up the perfect Thai curry.

The day overall was great however did feel a little rushed. Group size was only 5 which I really liked. It would have been great to have 30 mins free time in the old town to allow us to look into some shops, this could be done on the last road you walk down before getting picked back up. The meeting point could be at the end of the road, this would allow for the trip to go from great to excellent. Overall a great day out and Noi was fantastic

Nice day out learnt a lot about phuket the old town the farm the temples with the Buddhas traditions beliefs our host was very good she was knowledgeable and informative patient and happy to ansew questions, The cashew factory was nice to taste them, and the pearl shop which ended up with a bracelet

I enjoyed this trip and felt it was very enjoyable and informative. I felt the visit to the cashew nut factory was a bit pointless and the visit to the traditional house was slightly duplicated by the visit to the farm. Things could have probably felt a bit less rushed by maybe not going to the cashew nut factory. The temple visit was particularly interesting

Full-day island hopping tour with James Bond Island from Phuket

Get ready to see some of southern Thailand's most impressive natural spots on this boat tour of Phang Nga Bay. You're in for an afternoon of Thai island hopping at its finest on this catamaran trip to Phuket's southern isles. Eastern Phuket island-hopping catamaran tour at sunrise

It's an early start, but totally worth it as you cruise out to some of Phuket's prettiest islands at first light. After arriving at Royal Phuket Marina, you'll be welcomed with a light breakfast before meeting your guide and boarding the catamaran. There's a no footprint policy here, so no shops and facilities, which protects its special, unspoilt nature. Plus, its corals are so shallow and colourful, they're perfect for getting great underwater photos.'You'll speed along Phuket's eastern shore as the sun peeks over the horizon. Your first stop is Koh Khai Nok, a triangular stretch of soft-white sand surrounded by turquoise waters. Its shallow reefs and colourful fish make it a snorkeller's dream. Next, you'll head to Koh Khai Nui, a quieter, unspoilt island where you might spot angelfish, clownfish and other native reef life. Then, it's on to Koh Naka Noi, a smaller secluded spot to swim, snorkel or simply lounge on the beach.Your final stop is Koh Rang Yai, an island lined with coconut and pine trees.
