What to expect

Your tour of Elafonisi will start from Rethymno with a personalized pick-up service approx. at 7am.

Elafonisi beach is an exotic place, a flat piece of land with sporadic vegetation and a great contrast to the stark bareness of the Cretan mountains. The pink sand is produced by the large number of pink shells that gets ground up by the sea. After 2 hours and 30 minutes you will arrive, via the spectacular Topolia Gorge, to a traditional Cretan village, where you will have your breakfast (not included.)

You will arrive at Elafonissi beach around midday. You can have a sunbed or wade across to the island, where you can enjoy a drink in one of the many canteens. Around 6.30pm you will get back to Rethymno.
