An unforgettable encounter awaits at Puerto Aventura's Dolphin Discovery Park. Let fully qualified trainers help you put a big tick on the bucket list with a dolphin encounter experience. Spend around 40 minutes in the shallow waters with these fascinating, friendly creatures and learn how to interact with them. The experience is from a platform in the water, which makes the activity relaxed and accessible for people of all ages. During you time with the animals, you'll get to shake hands with them, they'll boop your hand with their snout and you can even get a peck on the cheek from one of them, too. What's more, your ticket also includes a buffet lunch and two non-alcoholic drinks with your meal.

What to remember

  • Children over 13 years over 140cm in height can take part alone but must pay adult price
  • Children who are between 1.2m and 1.39m talls must be accompanied by an adult for the dolphin interactions
  • Infants aged between one and five can take part free of charge, but must be accompanied by a paying adult
  • For clarity, for this experience children are considered from six to 12 years old. Adults are regarded as anyone aged 13 and above
  • Behaviours you will experience during the encounter include a handshake, hug and hand target
  • Please note, this type of dolphin swim is an interaction enjoyed from a platform in the water

  • Jewellery or accessories that can easily come off aren't allowed to be worn during the dolphin program
  • Electronic devices aren't allowed during the dolphin program
  • We recommend bring some cash with you so you can buy photos or souvenirs
  • This experience is recommended for anyone who has heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, takes heart medication. Anyone concerned about their physical condition or medical history should consult their physician before taking part in any strenuous activity
  • In accordance with Article 60 of the Q. Roo Finance Law, a state tax (ISEPAAA) of MX$50 per person (ages six and up) must be paid at check-in for activities involving dolphins
